| In February of 1996, AUDART opened the first art & performance gallery in New York's Wall Street area. A surge of early dotcom companies had begun to change the nature of this once traditional corporate environment. With the art in place, AUDART took the next important step and launched AUDART.COM to exhibit the works of hundreds of artists and to archive all of it's exhibitions on the internet.
In 1996, while many galleries and museums had serious reservations or lack of knowledge about the Internet, AUDART moved forward with live netcasting of gallery events, working with a host of corporate sponsors who were thrilled to provide the applied technology and to be a part of AUDART's art and technology salon The Techsalon.
