In 1974 Katchaz emigrated to USA, NY from Armenia, USSR. The same year he became a member of the "Internationale Gallery" of New York, in 1975 a member of the International Committee of CSSI in Rome, in 1976 a correspondent member of the Academy "Leonardo DaVinci" in Italy, In 1977 a member of the "Haute Academy Literaire et Artistique de France" in Nogent-sur-Oise.

From 1975-1994 Katchaz has Participated in numerous group exhibitions held by the above mentioned creations and artistic activities, including: "diploma Master of Modern Art", "Palma d'Oro Accademiche."

One of his paintings "Noah's Arch on the Mountain Ararat", was awarded Silver Medal at the "IX Grand Concours International de Paris", in 1977.

In 1994 Katchaz was the winner of Grand Prix of Academy of Europe's Artistic Competion for his, "sumgait" painting. Published in "United Europe's" anthology
