Sometimes in the middle of the night when the rest of the world is sleeping, artists and technicians gather in unlikely places to talk and throw ideas around. Unfortunately, these conversations are never recorded, but the culminating results can sometimes be experienced.

July 1, 1996AUDARTspun outAUDCOM, it's sister company specializing in multimedia and internet technologies. With their prime Wall Street location and the development of the new Silicon Alley neighborhood, most of the emerging Internet based companies came to the AUDART exhibition openings. AUDART became the first nerve center for the integration of art and technology - a meeting place for both the creative forces and the engineering specialists pioneering the Internet in New York. From that July, all of the AUDART exhibitions were webcast live over the Internet. Anyone who was anyone in Silicon Alley came to lend their areas of expertise.  Systems designers, web-site creators, network specialists, service suppliers and manufacturers of equipment, all met under the TechSalon tent late into the evenings creating applications and solutions for each other. Within the first year, AUDART& AUDCOM became the meeting place to share ideas in an atmosphere of coopertition. Competitors during the day, collaborators by night.
